Ukraine’s air force says it shot down two Russian aircraft – a combat command plane and a signal reconnaissance plane, writes the country’s army chief Valery Zaluzhny on Telegram.
One of the aircraft was an A-50 and the other an Il-22, according to Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform.
The shooting must have taken place over Lake Azov late on Sunday.
