Ukraine tries to protect its works of art from looting

While the Louvre Museum this week hosted sixteen exceptional Byzantine icons from the Khanenko Museum in Kiev, hundreds of thousands of works scattered throughout museums and collections need to be protected from both looting and destruction. A tedious and complex work supervised by the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture and which also involves the Aliph Foundation, created by France to protect heritage at risk in countries at war.
