Russia has reportedly committed more than 65,000 war crimes in Ukraine during the year.
A Ukrainian court has sentenced two Russian soldiers for attacks on civilian infrastructure.
The court found that the soldiers were guilty of bombing residential areas of civilians located in eastern Ukraine, the Intelligence Service of Ukraine (SBU) said in your statement (you switch to another service)on Monday.
The Russian soldiers were sentenced to 9 and 10 years in prison.
The SBU did not say when the sentences were handed down.
According to intelligence, the soldiers actively participated in the battles in the area of the Eastern Front.
According to the SBU, another soldier had already arrived in eastern Ukraine in 2014 and fought for years among the separatists. He was captured in Bahmut.
Another of the soldiers participated in the bombing of Sheverodonetsk and Lysichansk.
The men were captured last year, the SBU said.
Thousands of war crimes unsolved
The verdicts are significant, as only a few Russian soldiers have been held responsible for war crimes committed on the territory of Ukraine.
