Ukraine states that it has taken back parts of the areas it lost in Sevierodonetsk, reports Reuters.

– Previously, Russia held around 70 percent, now we have pushed them back by about 20, says the province’s governor.

The city, located in Luhansk in eastern Ukraine, has been subjected to heavy shelling in recent days. Russia is said to be firing on a factory where hundreds of people are hiding.

“It’s the toughest area right now,” Ukrainian President Zelenskyj said of the city in a speech earlier this week.
