    Ukraine: “Massive” Russian drone attack against Odessa

    The Ukrainian city of Odessa has been subjected to a “massive” Russian drone attack, says city governor Oleh Kiper at Telegram.

    “On the outskirts of Odessa, three private homes are burning and energy infrastructure has been damaged,” he writes in the post.

    As late as yesterday, four people were killed and several were injured when a Russian robot met a hotel in Zeleskkyj’s hometown of Kryvyi Rih.

    Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyj is planning a trip to Saudi Arabia next week.

    It writes in a post on X.

    There he will first meet Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman and then he will stay in the country to “work with our American partners”.

    Earlier in the evening, the news site Axios, with reference to two sources, reports that high -ranking US and Ukrainian officials will meet in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday next week.

    US President Donald Trump also says he will be traveling to Saudi Arabia within the next 45 days, Reuters writes.

    Following the Brussels summit, the EU countries agree on a multi-billion plan for upgrading.

    All 27 Member States have accepted the plan, which consists of five points, presented by EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

    EUR 800 billion, corresponding to SEK 8.8 trillion, will be released to the European defense.

    Leaders for the EU countries, including Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, met at a crisis meeting on Thursday to discuss military renovation and support for Ukraine.

    Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyj was invited as a lunch guest.

    Highly set US and Ukrainian officials will meet in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday next week. It states two sources with transparency for the news site Axios.

    Andrij Jermak, Chief of Staff at Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyj, announced on Wednesday that he had spoken on the phone with Mike Waltz, security adviser to US President Donald Trump. They had agreed to have a meeting soon.

    “We discussed the next step towards a fair and lasting peace,” Jermak said in a statement.
