Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated that the situation regarding the ongoing power outages due to the damage caused by the Russian military attacks on critical energy infrastructures in Ukraine is “serious”.
Zelenskiy addressed the public in a daily video message he shared on his Telegram account and noted that power cuts continue across Ukraine.
“SITUATION SERIOUS”
Explaining that power cuts continue in Kiev, Odessa, Lviv and other regions as a result of Russian forces’ targeting of electricity infrastructures, Zelenskiy made the assessment that “the situation is serious” regarding the energy problems in Ukraine.
Stating that he had a telephone conversation with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Zelenskiy noted that they discussed the expansion of the Black Sea Grain Corridor and global developments that are of great importance for Turkey and Ukraine.
On the other hand, Zelenskiy stated that he had a phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron and that he would talk to US President Joe Biden on the phone in the coming hours. (AA)
