An injured North Korean soldier sent to fight for Russia has been captured by Ukraine.

There have been many reports of North Koreans fighting for Russia in Ukraine. According to Ukraine and South Korea, it is about 10,000 soldiers sent. Nothing has been confirmed from the Russian or North Korean side.
Now a North Korean soldier has been captured by Ukraine, according to South Korea’s intelligence service. It is believed to be the first North Korean POW since the forces were deployed, reports the BBC.

According to Yang Uk, a researcher at the Asian Institute for Policy Studies in Seoul, this is just the beginning.

Difficult to identify
Yang Uk tells the BBC that it may be difficult to prove where the fallen soldiers come from.
Zelenskyi has recently accused Russia of burning the faces of fallen North Korean soldiers to hide their nationality and identity. According to the Ukrainian president, 3,000 North Korean soldiers have died in the war.
Ukrainian forces also testify that North Koreans receive fake Russian ID cards.
