(Finance) – The European Investment Bank will finance with € 1.59 billion the reconstruction ofUkraine to “repair the most essential damaged infrastructures and resume projects of crucial importance that respond to the urgent needs of the population”. The resources will be supported by guarantees from the EU budget to help Ukraine.
“This is the second package of aid to Ukraine as part of the EIB’s urgent solidarity response, developed in close cooperation with the European Commission. It follows an emergency support package of € 668 million, fully disbursed within one month of the start of the war.
