For the first time in months, there are reports on Monday that a new Ukrainian offensive has been launched to retake land occupied by Russia.
According to the Reuters news agency, the spokesperson of the Ukrainian army has confirmed that an offensive has been launched, among other things, to recapture the important city of Kherson from the Russian occupying power.
The city is located just north of Crimea and is described as the key to controlling the coastal strip along the Black Sea. There are also reports that the Ukrainian army managed to break through the Russian lines in places.
