Third episode of our series dedicated to the leading countries of the Paralympic Games. Today, we focus on Ukraine. Always in the top 6 for 20 years, and even on the podium in Rio in 2016. The country is more successful at the Paralympics than at the Olympics. This year, after a sluggish start, Ukraine is soaring back, currently in 7th place. However, the war in the country has made it impossible for many athletes to prepare. In goalball, a discipline reserved for the blind, specific to the Paralympic Games, the Ukrainians do what they can… And do it rather well. Martin Guez attended one of their matches, where you have to score as many goals as possible, by throwing a ball with bells in your hand into an 8-meter-long cage.
