While the war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for 39 days, new news comes from the region. Ukraine announced that the Russian army has begun to withdraw from Sumi.
“Didn’t Achieve Their Goals”
The Russian army, which first withdrew from the north of the region where the capital Kiev is located, right after the negotiations in Turkey, is now withdrawing from the Sumi region. Making a statement on the subject, the Ukrainian General Staff said, “The heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people against the Russian attacks has been going on for 39 days. Russian soldiers continue their all-out attacks against our country. The Russian army began to withdraw from Sumi as it could not reach its targets. In the Donetsk region, it increases its presence with new groupings, but continues to lose both military and technical terms. Because of the losses, they resign and stop fighting. Civilians lose their lives in the attacks. All deaths will be documented and sent to international courts. War crimes do not include an expiration date, so judgment is inevitable.
