Ukraine and Russia have carried out a prisoner exchange of around a hundred prisoners of war each. The exchange is confirmed by the Chief of Staff of the Ukrainian Presidential Office Andriy Jermak.
Jermak writes that the negotiations with Russia were difficult and protracted. Among the prisoners of war handed over to Ukraine are soldiers who fought in Mariupol before the city was besieged.
Russia confirms that 106 Russian prisoners of war have been handed over.
The last prisoner exchange took place on 7 March. 130 Ukrainians were then exchanged for 90 Russian soldiers.
