“These are soldiers, sailors, border guards and members of the National Guard,” writes Jermak on the social media platform Telegram. There he also posted a film sequence showing how women in uniform are received.
Ukraine is said to have recovered 100 soldiers.
Jermak writes that the negotiations with Russia were difficult and protracted.
Among the prisoners of war handed over to Ukraine are soldiers who fought in Mariupol before Russian forces besieged the city.
Russia confirms that over 100 Russian prisoners of war have been handed over.
“106 Russian soldiers have been handed over after negotiations from territories under Kiev’s control,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in Kremlin-approved terminology about Ukraine.
The last prisoner exchange during the Russian war of aggression was carried out on 7 March. 130 Ukrainians were then exchanged for 90 Russian soldiers.
