Hundreds of prisoners of war have been allowed to come home to Ukraine and Russia, respectively, according to information on both sides.
207 Ukrainians have returned home, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announces via social media. To that he attached pictures of men arriving by bus and getting out wrapped in Ukrainian flags.
Russia’s Ministry of Defense writes that 195 Russian servicemen have returned there.
“In exchange, exactly 195 prisoners of war from the Ukrainian military have been handed over,” the ministry in Moscow announced on social media.
