According to the Ukrainian economic newspaper Ekonomitchna Pravda, yesterday’s Russian bombing campaign in Ukraine cost Russia almost 1.15 billion euros.

Yesterday, for example, Russia fired almost 40 Iranian Shahed drones and several dozen cruise missiles at Ukraine, the newspaper says. It bases its information on, among other things, data received from the Ukrainian Air Force.

In Finland, the news broke first Helsingin sanomat newspaper.

A representative of the Ukrainian Air Force told news agency AFP that yesterday’s missile attack was the biggest since the early days of the war.

– Russia hit us with almost everything it has in store, said the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

Russia’s airstrikes on Ukraine on Friday were widely condemned at the UN Security Council meeting.

Among others, the United States, France and Britain condemned the Russian attacks, in which, according to the Ukrainian authorities, at least 30 people died and more than 160 were wounded.

Deputy Secretary General of the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs of the UN Mohamed Khaled Khiarin including the general secretary Antonio Guterres strongly and unequivocally condemns the Russian airstrikes in Ukraine.

Khiari serves as Deputy Secretary General responsible for the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific region. According to him, this year ended the same way it started, i.e. accompanied by shocking violence against the people of Ukraine.

– Once again, Ukrainians have to spend the holidays looking for shelter, clearing ruins and burying their dead in freezing temperatures, Khiari said at the meeting.

Ukraine attacked Belgorod

At least one person was killed in an air strike by Ukraine on the Russian city of Belgorod, said the governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov on Friday.

According to Gladkov, the city’s water supply network was also damaged in the attack.

The city of Belgorod is located only twenty kilometers from the border between Ukraine and Russia.
