UK All 72 Grenfell Tower deaths could have been avoided

Seven years after the Grenfell Tower fire in London, the public inquiry has just published its final report. Seventy-two people died in the accident, already described as “avoidable” by a previous report: the cladding of the building, where mainly disadvantaged people lived, did not meet current standards. The new Labour Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, has apologized “on behalf of the British state”.
