Netflix recently suffered a loss of over 200,000 subscribers, and could lose 2 million by the second quarter of this year. The war in Ukraine is obviously one of the reasons for the removal of Netflix in Russia, and therefore the decline in subscribers. This heavy loss can also be explained by increasingly growing competition and rising prices.
On the side of the giant of the international platform, the options are diverse. Netflix would consider either charging for shared accounts, or adding advertising to lower the price of subscriptions, or even embarking on live broadcasting of sporting events. Pascal Lechevallier, media consultant, sheds light on the situation.
