The airport in St. Petersburg has closed to all traffic, according to Russian media.

According to Reuters, it is about at least five domestic flights that have been forced to turn around after alarms that an “unidentified object was seen from the sky”.

Russian media channel Baza states that fighter jets have been sent up to investigate the object.
