The elimination of OGC Nice on Thursday April 20 in the semi-finals of the Europa League Conference endangered France’s UEFA index. Le Gym was the last team to represent the French Championship in Europe. Monaco, Nantes or even Rennes have all been eliminated from the Europa League. PSG have been released in the Champions League. The coefficient of the Netherlands is very close to that of France. The results of the Dutch clubs have been better than ours this season in Europe.
There is only one Eredivisie team left in Europe. This is AZ Alkmaar who are in the semi-finals of the Europa League Conference. They will play West Ham on Thursday May 11 and 18. The whole of France will support the fifteenth in the Premier League because France’s place in the UEFA ranking depends on this result. If AZ Alkmaar were to win, Ligue 1 would lose direct qualifying places for European competitions and this at the expense of the Netherlands, who would gain them.
