The Russian women’s national football team will not be seen at the European Championships in England this summer.

The European Football Association Uefa has decided to exclude the Russian women’s national football team from the summer European Championships. Uefa gives way to Portugal, which lost to Russia in the playoffs.

The European Women’s Football Championship will be played in England from 6th to 31st. July. Finland is also participating in the Games.

Uefa also decided to exclude Russian teams from next season’s club competitions, which include the Men’s Champions League, the Europa League and the Conference League, the Women’s Champions League and the Junior Champions League.

According to Uefa, the closure is valid until further notice.

The Russian women’s national football team did not play their World Cup qualifiers in April because they were excluded from international action. Russia will not be involved in the future either, and the country’s results will be annulled. Thus, the E-block continues as a five-team block.
