(Finance) – “I want to thank” the school principals “for the extraordinary work they have done, with wholly inadequate salaries, in all these years. When I meet them I see passion, I see joy”: on the part of the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara there is gratitude to the Italian principals. In a speech held at Fiera Didacta, in Florence, Valditara have “teachers and school leaders as real actors of this change”.
Udir believes that the statements of Minister Giuseppe Valditara on theinadequacy of the salaries of school principalswhose contract has expired for more than five years: “It’s a long time – he says Marcello Pacifico, national president of Udir – that we ask to lower the limit for the establishment of the fund for the ancillary salary for the checks relating to the individual salary of school managers: these are loans that have no longer been transferred to the principals since 31 August 2015, which must flow into the annual FUN, following the sentence of the Constitutional Court n. 178/15 and the signing of the National Collective Labor Agreement of 08 July 2019 for the three-year period 2016-2018″.
Anief pointed out all of this with precise amendment requests formulated before the Budget Law 2023 and after at Milleproroghe decree: “The requests – President Udir recalls – were intended to ensure better management of our schools and the treatment of those who direct them, increasingly suffocated by commitments and now also by the complex management of Pnrr funds. Today more than ever new rules are needed to obtain the recovery of the single national fund, the Fun, so as to enhance salaries also with specific appeals to the TAR produced by our lawyers. In addition to promoting mobility, the hiring of suitable candidates in public competitions, the introduction of the penal shield, to avoid an increasingly unfair sizing, which would further reduce the level of educational offer: school principals must be helped not only with words”, concludes Pacifico.
