The Union of Humanist Democrats (UDH-Yuki), a party created by the late Congolese opponent Guy-Brice Perfect Kolélas, wants to resume its congress, to allow it to elect a new president, before the end of 2023. Said Congress was interrupted last July due to the differences that appeared within this political formation which claims the first place in the opposition.

The first vice-president of the UDH-Yuki, Pascal Ngouanou, came to make his announcement in front of several executives of this party and excited activists.
According to this official, a commission responsible for finances and another for organizing the congress was set up by the Political Bureau with a view to resuming the work of the said congress.
For Pacal Ngouanou, there is hope: “ Because the survival of the party is at stake. This is the preparatory work. The Commission is working. As soon as it finishes, I convene the political bureau and we set the date (of the congress), before the end of the year “.
Last July, the congress was suspended following, among other things, the invalidation of the candidacy of Ntoumi Kolélas, brother of Guy-Brice Perfect Kolélas, for the post of president. For Party executives, political ambition and family management should not be confused. Pacal Ngouanou does not mince his words.
The UDH-Yki « is not a Kolélas family boutique. It is also not a plot for sale. We created this party to support the Congolese people in their struggle for change in Congo. “, he blurted.
The future president of the UDH-Yuki will notably have the mission of restructuring the party and above all of leading it to reconciliation.
