An agreement has been concluded between trade unions and employers in trade. The level is 7.4 percent, divided into 4.1 percent in the first year and 3.3 percent in the second year. Changes have also been introduced to prevent the so-called planing, which means that employees get fewer working hours. The announcement came after a two-year agreement on the guiding so-called mark was reached on Friday between the parties in the industry. The trade agreement covers approximately 200,000 employees. “The high level of this year’s mark will be very challenging for large parts of the trade, but in a long-term perspective it is important to now stand up for the Swedish wage formation model and mark setting,” says Svensk Handel’s head of negotiations Ola Axelsson in a press release. It is the retail agreement as well as the warehouse and e-commerce agreement that are now being negotiated between Swedish Handel and the Trade Union. The retail agreement covers nearly 160,000 employees and is thus the largest collective agreement on the private labor market. In total, the two agreements that have now been signed cover close to 200,000 employees, writes Svensk Handel. Watch as Handels explains more about the agreement in the player above
