A man faces assault charges after a clash last month, Chatham-Kent police say.

Officers responded to an assault investigation on Gregory Drive West in Chatham on June 18, police said. Investigation revealed a man went to a home to address a situation involving his daughter and another female youth.
The man, acting belligerently and aggressively toward the young mother, pushed a woman, causing her to knock another woman down, police said. Both women sustained minor injuries.
The man, who injured his shin, left before officers arrived, said police, who identified a suspect, obtained an arrest warrant and arrested a suspect Tuesday.
A Chatham man, 47, is charged with two counts of assault, police said. He was held for a bail hearing.
Man faces fraud charge
A man has been charged after a nearly three-month fraud investigation, Chatham-Kent police say.

Following an April 9 complaint from a benefits provider, investigators learned a man had submitted allegedly fraudulent benefit claims totaling more than $8,000, police said.
A suspect was arrested Tuesday, police said.
A man is charged with fraud over $5,000, police said. It was released with conditions and an Aug. 12 short date.
Woman pushed, teen charged
A female teen was charged after a clash at a Chatham business, Chatham-Kent police say.
Officers called to a Third Street business about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday learned a female youth had pushed a woman to the ground, police said.
A Chatham youth, 16, who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with assault, police said. It was released with a short date.
