Three people were seriously injured after being struck by lightning on Lidingö during Thursday evening.
“Two patients have very serious injuries, but the condition of the patients is stable. One patient is less seriously injured and is expected to be able to leave the hospital today,” writes Karin Pukk Härenstam, chief physician and operations manager of the children’s intensive care unit at Astrid Lindgren’s Children’s Hospital at Karolinska University Hospital, in a comment to TV4 Nyheterna.
The accident happened on a soccer field and a total of eight people were taken to hospital after a boys’ team sought shelter from the rain.
