After a bitter failure with Gladiators, TF1 has decided to react and will relaunch two of its flagship programs in less than a week…
We have already written it, it is a real snub that TF1 has just suffered with its new program Gladiatorsan XXL entertainment launched at the end of December which did not find its audience. Despite a 5-star cast with Denis Brogniart, Hélène Mannarino and Jean-Pierre Foucault in the presentation, the show only attracted 1.57 million viewers for its launch at the end of December (11.2% audience share) before collapsing to 862,000 faithful at the beginning of January (5.9% PDA). A disaster for the first channel which decided to deprogram urgently Gladiators after just two issues. The last episodes already recorded are relegated to the second part of the evening on Friday.
To relaunch itself after this failure, TF1 chose to focus on two locomotives well known to viewers. The channel announced this week the return dates of two of its flagship programs: Dancing with the stars And The Voice. Launches planned much earlier than usual, a sign that the front page needs to forget this setback as quickly as possible.
The Voice will be back on Saturday February 1 at 9:10 p.m. TF1 will then launch the 14th season of its musical telecast, a good week before the restart date last year (February 10). For the occasion, two new stars join the jury alongside Vianney and Florent Pagny, back after a break linked to cancer. Patricia Kaas, legend of French song, and Zaz, revealed in 2010 with her hit “Je vous”, will sit in the famous red armchairs. The production also announced new features to energize the show, including a new set and innovative visual elements.
A week later The Voiceit will be the turn of Dancing with the stars to make his return on Friday February 7, 2025 at 9:10 p.m. Last year the dance show was relaunched on February 16. Once threatened for lack of enthusiasm, DALS experienced a resurgence in form last year with the coronation of singer Natasha St-Pier against comedian Inès Reg after a violent clash between the two candidates which had spiced up the season.
For this 2025 edition, 12 candidates will embark on the adventure, including several athletes such as swimmer Florent Manaudou and ex-Blues footballers Franck Leboeuf and Adil Rami. Eve Gilles, Miss France 2024, Charlotte de Turckheim and Lénie Vacher, ex-Star Academy candidate, complete this eclectic cast.
And as if to repeat the “coup” of 2024, some controversies have already erupted on the networks, Adil Rami having been accused of having participated in the cyberharassment of the dancer Elsa Bois and the dancer Anthony Colette having announced that he had been sidelined after her victory with Natasha St-Pier…
By relaunching so early and so quickly Dancing with the stars And The VoiceTF1 undoubtedly hopes to quickly regain good audiences on its Friday and Saturday evenings, after a catastrophic start to the year 2025.
