During the renovation of a building on the Maliebaan, the concrete slab had to be lifted over the building. When the plate was hanging on the other side, the crane went wrong. The boom snapped and a cable may have broken. Then the concrete slab fell down. One person standing on a cherry picker got the plate on top of him. Another construction worker fell down after a scaffolding collapsed. According to the VRU, the victims were freed fairly quickly.
