Two younger men, aged 18 and 19 respectively, were arrested on Friday, suspected of serious assault after hitting two other teenage boys outside Burgården’s gymnasium in Gothenburg. The motive for the collision, which is therefore suspected to be intentional, has not yet been investigated, according to the prosecutor Ulrika Åberg, but she says that the investigation situation looks good. – We have received a lot of good witness information, she says. The men arrested are supposed to be brothers and according to police information, they are both part of the Södra Biskopsgården network. But the chamber prosecutor is not sure if it has any significance for the investigation. – For my part, it’s not something that we weigh much about right now, says Ulrika Åberg. The 19-year-old suspect’s lawyer says he intends to appeal the arrest decision immediately. – The investigation supports my client’s version and shows that he did not commit a criminal act, says Arash Raoufi, defense lawyer.
