The police operation in Hofors began at half past six on Tuesday morning. Among other things, the regional task force was on site. Then three people allegedly tried to rob residents at an address. Then two of them, one from Hofors and one from Sandviken, moved on.
Prosecutor Birgitta Fernlund tells the newspaper that Hoforsbon went into a nearby place, probably to hide. While the Sandviken resident dumped the car it is believed they had been traveling in, in order to steal another car instead, which he could be arrested shortly afterwards.
The men who were detained today are also suspected of unlawful deprivation of liberty. According to the prosecutor, the two people must have exposed the third person to a crime before the robbery attempt on Tuesday morning.
The third person has not been arrested but remains a suspect.
