Two songs before a new album… Justice is back

Two songs before a new album Justice is back

The French electro duo releases “One Night All Night” and “Generator”, two singles announcing an album planned for next spring.

It’s THE return of the beginning of the year: the long-awaited return of the electro duo Justice. It is with well-established communication, faithful to their habits, that Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay began this comeback – they haven’t published anything for seven years and the record Woman in 2016 – from January 1, on social networks, by posting a short musical extract, captioned “Happy New Year.” Since then, the duo has been announced at the Coachella festival in April and at We Love Green in Paris in June.

And then, on January 17, to arouse fans’ curiosity a little more with a new extract also posted on Instagram. In a style more comparable to Justice, he asked fans a question: but who could this voice belong to, also very recognizable? To Kevin Parker, leader of the Australian group, of course.

This piece, called One Night/All Night was published this Wednesday, January 24, shortly after 7 p.m. But for Justice, a surprise does not come alone since a second title, Generator, was also published immediately.

Two songs, the first melancholy, very Justice, more pop; the other at the antipodes with a hardcore techno influence, which announces the tone of the Frenchies’ fourth album: an “unnatural fusion of gabber, this hardcore techno which was the heyday of the 90s in the Netherlands, and the disco of the seventies, hedonistic and melancholic”, promises a press release.

Justice’s next album, which should be called Hyperdrama and whose cover has also been revealed, will therefore include featurings, like One Night/All Night. Including a song with The Weeknd? The latter, on social networks, had posted a few photos with the two French people. Sign of collaboration? Nothing is less sure. However, we have very little information on this new project, which will be released on April 26, 2024. Until then, be patient!
