At 00:51, the police received a call about a shooting in a residential area in Västberga in southern Stockholm. Several patrols went to the scene due to the shooting.
Two people with gunshot wounds were found in a residence and had to be taken to hospital by ambulance. Children must have been in the home when the shots fell, according to the police.
One of the injured persons is slightly injured and was able to leave the hospital during the night.
The police: “Will take a long time”
The area has been cordoned off and the patrols work, among other things, by knocking on doors to question people about the incident.
The police state that it is still unclear what happened at the scene. No one has been arrested as a suspect in the shooting.
– We are still there. There is a lot of work to be done at the site. Technicians are there and have just started their work. This will take a long time, says police spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl.
The police are investigating whether the shooting can be connected to the ongoing wave of violence.
