Two police officers were injured in connection with the Stockholm derby

Two policemen have been injured in connection with clashes during the football match between Hammarby IF and Djurgårdens IF at Stockholm.

A police officer is taken to hospital after having a beer can thrown at his head at Slussen at around 1.30pm.

– It was a group of people who were about to collide with another group. When the police intervened, one of them had a beer can thrown at his head, says the police spokesperson. Helena Boström Thomas.

The officer is apparently not seriously injured, according to the police.

Shortly after 2 p.m., about 20 people attacked the police at one of the entrances to the Tele2 arena. Then a police officer was injured in the leg when an object was thrown at the police. Another officer was hit by a Bengal but escaped unhurt.

No one has been arrested for the events, but the police have started preliminary investigations into violent riot, violence against a civil servant and attempted serious violence against a civil servant.
