Three people, including two police officers and a firefighter, were shot dead during an emergency response to an alarm about domestic violence in the United States.
The incident occurred in Burnesville, a suburb of Minneapolis, USA, reports AP.
When the police and emergency services arrived at the scene, they were met by people who shot at them. Several other people from the rescue service were injured.
“Terrible news from Burnsville,” Minnesota Governor Tim Walz wrote in a Facebook post.
“While responding to a call from a family in distress, two police officers and a firefighter lost their lives and other officers were injured. We must never take for granted the courage and sacrifices our police officers and first responders make every day. My heart goes out to their families today and the entire state of Minnesota stands with Burnsville,” Walz further wrote.
