Two people stabbed in Bromma in western Stockholm

Two men have been taken to hospital after being attacked by a knifeman outside a grocery store in western Stockholm.
The man was found injured near the grocery store – and has been arrested for attempted murder.
– We are talking to witnesses and will do a technical investigation, says police spokesperson Anna Westberg to TV4 Nyheterna.

It was shortly before 16:00 in the afternoon that the police received a call that two men had been found with knife wounds outside a grocery store in Spånga in western Stockholm.

According to the police, a man must have approached the two men and attacked them with a knife before leaving the scene.

Both men had to be taken to hospital by ambulance.

Injured knifeman arrested for attempted murder

A short time later, the police found an injured man near the grocery store. The man is now suspected of having attacked the two men. He too has been taken to hospital by ambulance.

– All are men in their 30s. They do not have life-threatening injuries, but otherwise I do not have more details about the state of the injuries, says Anna Westberg.

It is unclear if the knifeman and the injured men are related to each other. A preliminary investigation into attempted murder has been launched.

Area cordoned off

The police have cordoned off the scene and are working to interview witnesses.

– A technical investigation must be carried out. I know we have spoken to several witnesses and will certainly speak to even more, say the police.

The police are also investigating whether the knife attack may have been caught on surveillance cameras.
