A thirty-eight-year-old man was hospitalized automatically after stabbing a sixties at home, as well as his son, in Lucé, in Eure-et-Loir.
She opened the door and got stabbed. A sixty-seven-year-old woman was the victim of an attack Thursday, February 13, in the afternoon, as well as her son. The assailant, a thirty-eight-year-old man, was arrested and hospitalized because of his psychiatric state. The vital prognosis of the victims is engaged, they were taken care of in absolute emergency at the Center Hospitalier de Chartres.
The facts took place in Lucé, in Eure-et-Loir. The suspect came out of his mother’s apartment, armed with a kitchen knife, and went to a building further. He then struck the victim’s intercom, who lives on the ground floor. He stabbed in the belly of the sixties, “causing an evisceration with great blood loss,” said the prosecution, quoted by Le Figaro. He then attacked his son in his forties and stabbed him in the chest, before fleeing. The forty -something man was able to warn a neighbor and give a description of the suspect.
He had already been hospitalized under constraint
The man was located at his home and was arrested “without difficulty,” said the prosecution. “His mother and sister, who had also called the police, were there.” The suspect was covered with blood, and the knife was “placed under sealed”. He did not give an explanation to his attack. If it was first placed in police custody for “assassination attempt”, the 30 -year -old was finally hospitalized automatically.
This is not the first time that the suspect, of Moroccan origin, has been involved in an assault. He was convicted in 2005, 2011 and 2023 for acts of drug trafficking, violence and wearing of weapons and rebellion. It had also been implicated in violence with weapons in 2020 but was recognized criminally irresponsible in 2022 by the Chartres Criminal Court, reports the newspaper. The reason: “The abolition of his discernment at the time of the events. He had been hospitalized under immediately constraint,” said prosecutor Frédéric Chevallier.
And he should have been interned before the drama. His resident card had not been renewed due to his previous convictions. “In accordance with the regulations, a deterioration of title in the form of a provisional admission to the stay (APS) of six months was underway”, according to the prefecture, cited by Le Figarowhich allowed him to obtain a residence permit to be treated in case of serious illness. And hospitalization under duress had been pronounced by the liberty and detention judge of Chartres. He should therefore not have been in Lucé on February 13.
“At this stage, the conditions in which he went to this commune to commit the alleged facts are not known to the prosecution. The investigations that will continue to provide all the useful information,” concluded the Chartres prosecutor.
