Two people who were supposed to swim in the Piteälven in Älvsbyn are missing, the police say.
– The information we have is that two people have swum in the water and we do not know where they are now. The area and the water are being searched for these people, says the police spokesperson Marie Andersson.

Rescue services and police are searching the water
The alarm came in at 11 a.m. and at 1:30 p.m. the police have no information that the people have been found.
The emergency services, the police and an ambulance participate in the operation. The rescue helicopter is also called to the scene. The accident must have happened at a campsite in Älvsbyn.
