Officers responded to a residence on Florence Street in Chatham Friday night and learned two people were assaulted with a hockey stick, police said.

A 43-year-old man was arrested for aggravated assault and held in custody pending a bail hearing, police said.

Confidential documents stolen from business: police

The theft of confidential documents from a local business led to a woman being arrested, says Chatham-Kent police.

Officers were called to a Talbot Street West business in Blenheim Friday afternoon for a theft complaint, police said.

A 27-year-old woman was arrested for theft and possession under $5,000, police said.

She was transported to police headquarters and held in custody pending a bail hearing, police said.

CK police investigating break-ins at two businesses

Chatham-Kent police are investigating two separate break-ins at businesses in the municipality.

Officers responded to a James Street business in Wallaceburg Friday afternoon for a break and enter complaint, police said.

A security system and several Pokeman cards were stolen when the business was entered sometime between March 24 and March 28, police said.

There are currently no suspects and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

On Thursday morning, officers responded to a break and enter at a business on Erie Street in Wheatley, police said.

Three doors were damaged overnight to gain access to the building, police said.

It is unknown at this time what was taken.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and there are currently no suspects.
