Police, rescue services, ambulance and the sea rescue society are on site at Siljansnäs in Leksand.
– There are two people who went through the ice with snowmobiles, says Mattias Henriksson, officer on duty at the Police.
According to the police, the persons must have managed to get out of the water on their own and be awake and able to speak.
– They will bring in hovercraft from the Sea Rescue Society to rescue them. The case is basically led by the emergency services, says Henriksson.
At lunchtime, the police announced that the two people had been flown by ambulance helicopter to hospital, reports SVT Dalarna.
