Two of Keanu Reeves absolute best action movies sadly only

Keanu Reeves isn’t just one of the internet’s favorite actors, he’s a real action star. He has been making this claim for three decades proven regularly
– and we’re not just talking about the Matrix films, in which he as Neo saves mankind from being destroyed by machines and programs.

There are two movies on TV tonight that will usher in Reeves’ career as an action star break down very well. First up is Breakthrough, the movie that put it on the action map in 1991. This is followed by the film that brought him back after a long break from action with great success: John Wick.

  • Today on TV: Dangerous Surf airs tonight at 8:15 p.m. on cable one. John Wick will follow at 10:45 p.m. Later that night at 1:50 AM, a rerun of Dangerous Surf will air. John Wick will not be repeated.
  • Action doubles with Keanu Reeves: FBI agent in Dangerous Surf, hitman in John Wick

In Breakthrough, Reeves plays the FBI agent Johnny Utah, set to infiltrate the surfing scene, where the charismatic Bodhi (Patrick Swayze) leads a group of young men interested in more than just extreme sports. Bodhi is a criminal who is credited with several major bank robberies.

Directed by Kathryn Bigelow, the action film is fantastic, but has not received a sequel. Reeves is currently shooting one John Wick film after the other. His contract killer, who actually only the avenge his dog’s murder wanted, returned to the big screen for John Wick: Chapter 2 and John Wick: Chapter 3.
