Erik Eckerdal is consecrated bishop in Visby diocese. King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia during the consecration of two new bishops in Uppsala Cathedral on Sunday.
Archbishop Martin Modéus held the ceremony in Uppsala Cathedral and among the guests, in addition to King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia, also Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and his wife Birgitta Ed were noticed.

Next Saturday, January 21, Marika Markovits will be received in Linköping’s cathedral. On the same day, Erik Eckerdal is received in Visby Cathedral.
