Blue Coast Primary Care recently announced Duncan Innes and Adedotun Alade are accepting patients.

Innes, a Sarnia native, is returning to the community after studying at St. Kitts in the Caribbean and Michigan State University affiliate McLaren Macomb Hospital, officials said.

He was a Blue Coast visiting elective program recipient in his fourth year of medical school, in 2019, and has additional training in lifestyle medicine, leading to his recruitment to the Triad Weight Management Clinic in Sarnia, officials said in a news release.

“Sarnia’s medical community has played an important mentorship role for Dr. Innes, which has led, in part, to his decision to practice here,” said Blue Coast recruiter Carly Cox, in the release.

“I’m so proud to have provided the opportunity to help bring him home to Sarnia.”

Alade, a graduate from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, who interned at University College Hospital in Ibadan and underwent three years of family medicine residency in the United Kingdom, said, in a release, he “chose Sarnia because it is an excellent place to raise a family, offering a warm community and outstanding amenities.”

He added, “I am thrilled to practice medicine here and excited to contribute my skills to the well-being of families in this wonderful city.”

Blue Coast has attracted 46 family doctors to Sarnia-Lambton since 2002, Cox said in a release, noting recruiting Alade and Innes, along with another doctor recently announced for Arkonawill help more than one-third of the 15,000 people in the community currently without a family physician.

Prospective patients can contact Innes at 519-332-4699, and Alade at 519-336-6019.
