When the men, who are both 60 years old, had not come home as planned on Monday, the police were entered.
The police officer’s commander made a decision on emergency services with the support of the LSO, the Act on Protection against Accidents. Police helicopters and mountain rescuers were called out to seek the men.
Just before midnight, the men were deceased in a tent.
The men are residents in Norrbotten and relatives have been notified.
– A forensic examination must be conducted to try to determine the cause of death. There is currently no suspicion of crime, the police write on their website.
In a first version, it was incorrect that the men were found killed and not dead.
