Two men, 19 and 24 years old, are sentenced to prison after a dramatic car chase in which shots were fired with automatic weapons, the Östersund District Court announces.
The younger man is sentenced to six years in prison for aggravated threats against an official, aggravated blue light sabotage, aggravated weapons offenses and unlawful threats. The elderly man receives four years in prison for aiding and abetting a serious threat to an official, serious sabotage against blue light operations, serious weapons offenses and illegal threats.
The men were charged with attempted murder of several policemen, but according to the district court, it is beyond reasonable doubt that the 19-year-old directed the shots at the following police cars and thereby had the intent to kill.
