The Night Market runs from 3 pm to 10 pm on Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8.
The vendor market, which debuted in 2022, features artisan products such as earrings, soaps, jams, jellies and more.

“It was wildly successful and a really excellent family vibe,” said general manager Angela Hogeveen. “Last year we combined it with the Fairgrounds Festival, and the two events didn’t necessarily meet where we thought they would. So we’ve split them again into separate weekends.”

Hogeveen said there will be more than 75 vendors, with artisans in the Homecraft building, and 25 larger booths outside.

“We have in the neighborhood of 25 food and beverage vendors alongside, with alcohol, craft beer, wine, cider, and spirits,” she noted. “It’s a well-rounded event to taste, try, look at and buy, and it’s a little bit different than what’s normally at the farmer’s market.”

The Fairgrounds Festival features two nights of concerts on Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15.

“We’ve got a pre-concert tailgate party that starts at 4 pm both days,” said the fairgrounds general manager. “There will be some tailgate games (such as) ring toss and corn hole, and the vendors you’ll see there will be more experiential in nature.”

A live local stage gets underway at 4 pm followed by main stage shows starting at 6:45 pm

Friday night’s lineup includes indie band By Divine Right, 54-40, and the Sam Roberts Band.

The Wild High – featuring John Harvey of Monster Truck with some of his friends in a collective — leads off the slate of shows on Saturday, followed by St. Asonia, and headliner Theory of a Deadman.

Tickets are available at fairgroundsfestival.ca starting at $15 for grounds access, reserved grandstand seating at $30, and VIP tickets at a higher price point.

“To be able to be on the grounds and be part of it for just $15 on Friday and $20 on Saturday, I think is something we were really conscious of, trying to keep it accessible for the community,” Hogeveen said.

The Fairgrounds Festival is presented by Edward Jones and supported by Amplify Norfolk, established to promote Norfolk County as a live music destination.
