Not Cake’s first crossing

It is not the first time that a Cake motorcycle has crossed a continent with a female rider.

At the beginning of 2023, the adventurer Sinje Gottwald namely alone all the way from Barcelona to Cape Town on a Cake Kalk AP – without any kind of support team.

That trip was 1,300 miles long and took 124 days, and was the first time the African continent had ever been crossed on an electric motorcycle.

Rosenstein and Long will settle for being the first women to cross the United States on electric motorcycles. The first time the North American continent was crossed on an electric motorcycle was in 2013.

Not the fastest possible way

During the trip, they covered 536 miles in 62 days, and stopped to recharge 124 times. They started the journey in October and finished in Los Angeles just before Christmas

Like Gottwald, Rosenstein and Long each rode a Cake Kalk, which is an off-road motorcycle distinguished by its light weight.

The focus was not on covering the distance in the shortest possible time, but instead chose to spend the majority of the time in the wilderness on gravel and forest roads.

The trip is part of a larger project that Cake calls Electric Conquest of Continents, where they want to cross all of the world’s continents with female motorcyclists at the controls.
