Laura Lahtinen, who swam Finnish records last weekend, advanced to the finals in the 100-meter and 200-meter butterfly.
The Asian World Cup tour continued Laura Lahtinen with happy signs in South Korea’s Incheon.
Lahtinen swam second in his main heat of the 200-meter butterfly with a time of 2:07.55. The time was the third fastest of the heats. Australia kept a faster pace by Bella Grant (2.05,36) and the United States by Regan Smith (2.06,61).
The Finnish swimmer was also second in his 100-meter individual medley heat with a time of 59.50. The time was the fifth fastest of the heats.
The finals are swum from the afternoon Finnish time.
Lahtinen, 21, improved his 200 butterfly Finnish record from two years ago at the World Cup in Shanghai by exactly two seconds with a time of 2:03.13. In addition, in the 100-meter butterfly, he achieved his first World Cup victory and improved his SE time by as much as 1.3 seconds.
