Two drones shot down in Moscow – Russia accuses Ukraine

During the night, Russia shot down two Ukrainian drones in Moscow. It reports AFP and refers to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense.

– An attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist act with two drones on the territory of the city of Moscow was stopped, the statement said, among other things.

One of the drones crashed near the Ministry of Defense building, the other in a business area, according to the Russian news agency TASS. No injuries have been reported.

Both police cars and fire engines have been seen in the area at the time of the shootings. According to AFP, the police have cordoned off and a building has been damaged.

The drone attack comes a day after Kiev vowed revenge for the Russian missile attack on the Black Sea port of Odesa, following Russia’s withdrawal from the grain deal.

“Hit in ammunition storage”

On Monday morning, there was also information from the Moscow-appointed governor of Crimea that Ukrainian drones had hit an ammunition warehouse on the peninsula.

“In the sky over Crimea, eleven enemy drones were shot down by the air defense and prevented by electronic warfare. It was a hit in the ammunition warehouse in the Dzhankoy district,” says Sergej Aksyonov.
