Two drivers suffer serious injuries in Brant County crash

Two people were taken to hospital for treatment after a head-on collision in Brant County on Saturday afternoon.

The collision between a sports utility vehicle and motor vehicle occurred at just after 3 pm on Colborne Street East.

Both drivers suffered serious injuries, said a media release from Brant OPP.

“Alcohol is being considered as a contributing factor,” OPP Const. Ed Sanchuk said in a media release.

Brant OPP, along with Brant County Fire Department and Paramedic Services responded to the scene.

Colborne Street East between Brant School Road and Shaver Street were closed for several hours.

The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone in the area with video surveillance systems to check to see if footage captured the crash. Those with dash camera footage of the incident are also asked to contact police at 1-888-310-1122.
