Several political actors, including the opponent Idrissa Seck and the Pastef party, offered their condolences to the victims and denounced this criminal act.

This attack takes place while the situation in the capital is tense, marked by demonstrations since last Monday following the detention of political opponent Ousmane Sonko and the dissolution of his party, the Pastef.
