Two people have died and several have been seriously injured in a workplace accident at a biogas plant in Funen in Denmark, reports Danish TV2.
The emergency services are searching the area for more casualties.
The police in Funen have disclosed the accident in a press release. According to their preliminary investigations, the accident must have occurred in connection with work around a silo, something that witnesses who spoke to the channel also told about.
According to witness Klavs Sørensen, who lives 300 meters from the site, a silo must have collapsed.
For TV2 Funen he tells about an extensive rescue operation at the site.
– We are talking about six or seven ambulances, four or five police cars, six fire engines and a rescue helicopter, he says.
In the press release, the police write that they have been on the scene at the accident since 18.10 on Tuesday evening.
